About Broomball Australia

Broomball Australia is the national governing body for the sport of broomball in Australia. Our mission is to grow participation, support local associations, and make broomball accessible to everyone.

Inclusive

Broomball is for everyone. We welcome players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Community-focused

We prioritize the social aspect of sport. Making friends and having fun comes first.

Safe

Player safety is paramount. We maintain strict standards for equipment and fair play.

Our history

Broomball in Australia has a rich history dating back several decades. What started as a recreational activity has grown into an organized sport with competitive leagues and national championships.

Today, broomball is played across multiple states with active associations in the ACT, South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland. Each year, the Australian Broomball Nationals brings together the best teams from around the country.

We continue to grow, with new players discovering the sport every week. Our focus remains on making broomball accessible, fun, and welcoming to everyone who wants to give it a try.
